Yay! Arrested Development Still on Fox Schedule!

Fox has removed one of the biggest mysteries of its fall schedule announcement, saying it has renewed the Emmy-winning comedy "Arrested Development" for a third season. The quirky show starring Jason Bateman has been a hit with critics, but not with viewers. It is averaging 5.9 million viewers this season, ranking No. 122 on the Nielsen list. Already-canceled shows like "8 Simple Rules," "Committed" and "Complete Savages" did better. (AP)

Second, keep your fingers crossed that a little Fox pilot called "Dirtbags" is announced on Thursday for Fox's fall lineup. Sure, it stars Melissa Joan Hart (ie Sabrina the Teenage Witch), but it also has a nice role for a family friend of ours - Natalie Portman and Britney Spears were once her understudies. So...we'll see...

That's good news. Can't figure out why this one didn't catch on with viewers, but then most shows I like immediately don't.
